Radiant Orchid 2014 Pantone Color of the Year
Over many years I studied and worked professionally as visual UI designer. Pantone was a friend and ally and today I still use as a color resource. As an artist I work from more of a place inside, from intuition, from life experiences, from the natural environment that surrounds me. As a designer I learned how to source design trends, using it as a tool to bookmark the visual story that I would be defining for a client, a project or product. Trends are a great tool for inspiration, touching base, seeing what fellow designers are doing in the world (as I am part of that world); what is the bar, the problems and solutions of others. It’s a great research tool.
Enjoy and let me know with a comment what you think about this color trend or how you approach color in your design process!
PS I did some quick Radiant Orchid surfing on the web to see if anything popped up that would pique my interest. Here’s some goodies I found that I find inspirational. Not just for the color but a variety of textures, forms, mechanicals and materials. Have a great day jewelry divas ~ Jacky
