Stackable Roman Rings
October 07, 2013
One of the reasons I’ve always been attracted to jewelry and jewelry making is it’s rich history of personal adornment. Every piece of jewelry seems to have a personal story that follows it where ever it goes. When studying metal arts oooh many years ago I had an immediate attraction to Egyptian, Greek & Roman metal work. The Roman ring blank design shown in this inspiration tutorial show you how such a basic jewelry finding can be transformed into unlimited combinations. Wire wrapped around a mandrel and terminating with two aligned loops gives the designer an opportunity to attach tassels, charms or beads. You can also see how I used a hand forged end pin and threaded alternating beads and bead caps. Hope my Safarisister Roman Ring Blanks give you ideas for creating your own rings that tell a personal story.
